Social Media Marketing Agency?
By mike | July 2, 2008
In the ever progressing industry of Social Media Marketing, can a contemporary advertising agency add the Social Media tool to its box?
This is the million dollar question. The fruit of Social Media Marketing is ripe for picking. Online advertising agencies need to commercialize their product or service in order to capture this revenue stream. In a recent article Social Media Demands a Reinvented Agency, the author describes the new role to be a “consultative position”. This is a service already provided by most internet advertising agencies (consulting), now just add social media awareness. For most to learn, the ins and outs of, Social Media you will need to use it. Being a green horn to social media, jumping in head first might not be the best approach. In a series of upcoming posts I will outline the basic social avenues and their uses. I then hope to ignite a fire of innovation and idea engineering to allow for personal goals and new uses for social media. Remember as you cross off days in your planner/calender new Social Media engagement points sprout up. Keeping up with the Jones’ now requires the technological understanding of a 17 year old (the future business owner uses social media daily/hourly). This will be a daunting task for many but I hope to shed light in some of the dark corners of the Social Media world.
